About Us
Waypoint 33 is more than a consultancy
“It’s a strategic partner for telecom leaders navigating change.”

Our Story
Waypoint 33 was founded on the belief that lasting success comes from collaboration. Built on decades of experience in telecommunications, technology, and organizational leadership, we created Waypoint 33 not as a traditional consultancy, but as a consortium mindset — a trusted partner working behind the scenes to help others shine.
We bring together expertise, partners, and proven practices so our clients can focus on what matters most: serving their customers, strengthening their teams, and growing with confidence. By aligning strategies, modernizing workflows, and connecting the right people and solutions, we empower organizations to achieve results that last.
At our core, Waypoint 33 exists to make others successful. Every engagement is about lifting companies higher, ensuring they have the clarity, tools, and support to thrive in an ever-changing world.
Founder’s Philosophy:
Randall René
People First - Always
Randall René is a U.S. Army veteran and seasoned leader with more than 25 years of experience across the telecommunications ecosystem. He began his career in the field and went on to advise global executives, most notably as Industry Solutions Director at Esri, where he shaped strategy and thought leadership for the telecom sector. Today, he leads Waypoint 33, partnering with organizations to modernize operations, align teams, and navigate complex change with confidence.
Beyond his professional work, Randall has devoted much of his life to service. He served for 14 years as a Reserve Police Officer, responded to crises as a member of Team Rubicon’s Incident Management Team, and was honored as Big Brother of the Year for Big Brothers Big Sisters of Oregon in 2018. He continues to give back as a board member for Big Brothers Big Sisters of the Inland Empire, championing mentorship and community impact.
Whether in the field, the boardroom, or the community, Randall is guided by a commitment to leadership, collaboration, and building lasting connections
