Connecting Systems to What Matters

Waypoint 33 works at the intersection of networks, operations, and the people who rely on them.

Because when networks work, communities thrive.

Our Story

Waypoint 33 was founded on a simple belief: when networks work better, people live better. Reliable connectivity is not just a technical achievement. It is how families stay connected, how communities function, and how opportunity reaches people where they live and work.

Built on decades of experience across telecommunications, technology, and organizational leadership, Waypoint 33 was created to help organizations navigate change with clarity and purpose. Not as a traditional consultancy, but as a trusted partner working alongside teams to connect strategy, operations, and real-world execution.

We bring together expertise, partners, and proven practices so our clients can focus on what matters most. Serving their customers. Supporting their workforce. And delivering networks and services people depend on every day. By aligning strategy, modernizing workflows, and connecting the right data, tools, and people, we help organizations move forward with confidence.

At its core, Waypoint 33 exists to help others succeed. Every engagement is guided by a commitment to strengthen the systems that connect people to what matters in their lives, ensuring organizations are equipped to serve their communities today and adapt for what comes next.

Founder’s Philosophy:

Randall René

People First - Always

Randall René is a U.S. Army veteran and seasoned leader with more than 25 years of experience across the telecommunications ecosystem. He began his career in the field and went on to advise global executives, most notably as Industry Solutions Director at Esri, where he shaped strategy and thought leadership for the telecom sector. Today, he leads Waypoint 33, partnering with organizations to modernize operations, align teams, and navigate complex change with confidence.

Beyond his professional work, Randall has devoted much of his life to service. He served for 14 years as a Reserve Police Officer, responded to crises as a member of Team Rubicon’s Incident Management Team, and was honored as Big Brother of the Year for Big Brothers Big Sisters of Oregon in 2018. He continues to give back as a board member for Big Brothers Big Sisters of the Inland Empire, championing mentorship and community impact.
